Awesome decor. Super fresh sushi with "plate appeal" in the presentation. Crispy Duck over rice rocks!

It is hard to find good sushi in Jacksonville FL. This place is certainly the exception. I cannot speak for the Thai food, but I have been hear for lunch, and I had dinner here last night. I eat sushi once a week (sometimes more often), and this is place may be my new favorite. It is not inexpensive, but the price is reasonable for the quality. It's extremely fresh! They also have a good happy hour (I need to come back earlier for that). As for the atmosphere, it's beautiful. It's romantic (great for a date), yet trendy (great for a ladies' night). The food presentation impressed me the most. If you love sushi, try this place out.

Kamiya doesn't skimp on the presentation skills, that's for sure. Everything from the full bar to the sushi plates is colorful, carefully laid out and assembled with extreme attention to detail. We had friends in town and stopped by on a Saturday night. The restaurant was full except for the private rooms off to the side of the main dining room, an alternative that made for a memorable dinner thanks to a no-shoe policy and a space all to ourselves. It was our first time there, so we went with the two most popular rolls; the Yummy roll and the Rock roll. Both were stuffed with fish and minimal rice, with plenty to feed a few people when paired with the Thai Ginger Chicken bowl we ordered as well. The bowl had a nice mix of chicken, veggies and rice but make sure to order the sauce on the side - it can be overwhelming and saturate all the ingredients beyond recognition if you pour the whole thing in. Lesson learned. A nice spot to grab some sushi at the Beaches, with decent prices for such an upscale atmosphere.

I was traveling for work and found this place on Yelp because it was close to my hotel. The reviews made me go ahead and try it. I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice it is on the inside vs. what you see from the road. This might be something the restaurant wants to look at because I almost didn't eat here for that reason. I sat at the bar and had great service. The bartender was quick with everything and made suggestions to try. I have a weird food allergy to an ingredient in virtually all sushi and it was easily worked around. I got the house salad, which was pretty much your standard lettuce with ginger dressing. Nothing out of the norm here. I got the Ninja roll which was delicious. A lot of flavors and colors. If I ever find myself in Jacksonville again I will come back.

Best sashimi & rolls on the beach. Very fresh fish, have watched them break down while sides of tuna several times there. Creative rolls, fast service (at the sushi bar) & most food prep is done by Japanese staff.

Impromptu lunch date with my husband. We had sushi, dumplings, tea - a random assortment. Ambience was sophisticated. Restaurant a little dark. Clean restaurant, very tasty food.

Great service and very high quality food. Definitely recommend the desserts. Happy hour prices on sushi are outstanding and more importantly the sushi was delicious!

Our first time here with a friend who swears by this place. Overall a good but not great experience and I've certainly had better. We shared Mongolian Beef and it was utterly bland and tasteless. Not bad mind you and the beef was tender but not great. We sent it back and got General Tso's Chicken which was better but nothing spectacular. The service was great and they were cool with us sending the food back (we usually don't). The owner came over to apologize and everything was fine. The decor is sorta neat with the fiber optic lights and things but this place is loud as heck and they do a ton of business so there is constant movement.

Back to 5 stars!!! They cancelled the live music noise. Smart move. We are back to coming here. Nice environment like it was before

We have eaten here 6 or more times and the food is always fantastic (it's why we keep coming back). That said, the service is inconsistent at best. The first several visits service was on par with the food, but the last 3, spread out over past 6 months, it has been incredibly slow. Takes forever to get drinks, refills on water won't happen unless requested and every time we've seen our sushi order ready and sitting there waiting on the server to deliver. The last time it was so long I was ready to get up and get it myself, rather then wait for the server. We have worked in bar/restaurant industry and will account for a server being slammed, but this was never the case. The slowest service was when we were one of three tables in entire restaurant. We have decided next time we will sit at sushi bar and see if this improves the experience. I sure hope they get a better trained wait staff in there and soon! We really do enjoy the sushi.

Some of the best sushi that my wife and I have ever had!!! Great service, Great atmosphere! One of the best secrets of this town in my opinion.....hate to tell anyone and everyone, but they deserve all the best that they can get.....this place is it!

Recommended by a friend in Ponte Vedre. Outside of building ok but inside was upscale and pretty cool and trendy, kinda like a little South Beach in Jax! Ordered a large amount of sushi that didn't take long to come out even though it seemed packed in there. Very impressed with the presentation of the multiple rolls and sashimi. Sushi was really good!! Fish tasted fresh and they didn't have to fry everything or cover it sauces like many places in Jax. Had a non-sushi eater with us and there was plenty for her to choose from on the menu. We had a table but there were cool little sunken table rooms on the sides draped off that looked like great spots for 6-8 people to sit in and have your own little room :) will def go back

The cocktails were out of this world! I am so going back.. primairly because the bartender knew how to make a killer Gin & Tonic. I was with a party of 24 people and everyone obviously had a variety of cocktails. Every one enjoyed what they had ordered from the bar except one guy who ordered the Black & White cookie martini. Personally, I think it was because he broke Man code #33 by ordering a fru fru (martini) "drank". Most of us ordered sushi. A few people mentioned how colorful and beautiful the sushi was. It , super duper fresh and tasteful. Freaking orgasmic in my opinion. Yes, orgasmic. Spoken like a true foodie! My only issue that night was the order in which the food came out. We were a huge party but still...a little more team work and organization would have made dinner a little less stressful and more enjoyable. The wait staff was friendly and sweet through it all. They Just a little more training on how to accommodate huge parties. Most of the discussion was based off of this fact instead of celebrating a birthday and a graduation :( The varieties of food on the menu are Awesome! So many interesting dishes to choose from. Same with bar menu. I will be a regular here for sure :-)

I had given up on finding good sushi in Jacksonville until I heard about this place. I'd driven by every day for a year, but the exterior is so plain, I never imagined what awaited inside. You step inside and into another world. Fabulous sushi and skillful presentation, and an ambiance that was modern, relaxing and hip. I do not feel like I'm in Jacksonville when I'm here. Good wine and saki selection, and impressive mixed drinks. Always good service. My last visit was with a group of girlfriends for my birthday, and everyone loved it. I tell everyone I know to go here for the best sushi around. Great spot for a romantic date!

We went at night. The outside looks average, but when you get inside, it looks really nice. It's a combination of an Asian restaurant and a sports bar. They have this big open closet looking areas where they have a table and you dine together Japanese style. You take your shoes off and gather around with your friends and family. I would say it can fit 8 people comfortably. We had the shrimp pad thai, pineapple shrimp thai fried rice, shrimp red curry, and sizzling mongolian beef. Great sushi too! Very good and tasty! Our waitress was very friendly and she provided us with great service. It's a nice place to eat with your family, friends, or even a date.

Sushi is some of the best in town! The reason for the One Star ranking is the lack of service skills from the young kids at the bar. Very condescending and immature. Do yourself a favor and sit in the dining room and enjoy your meal.

The food here is delicious, to say the least. Though, it is a bit pricy. I wasn't a big fan of their Philadelphia Roll, as I am used to a specific taste, considering that it is my favorite type of sushi. But their spicy white tuna roll was stellar!!! Their brown rice is also delicious and was cooked just right. They have a wide variety of drink specials, including domestic and imported beers. This restaurant has an interesting lighting setting, and almost reminds me of a night club. The service was okay. Very friendly waitress, but she seemed to move a bit slow.

I came on my birthday. Jing was our server...she was great. We had the pad Thai which was very good. We also had a spark of love roll, Green Dragon roll, and the Fantasy roll which all were great. The service was wonderful. They have me a very nice dessert with fried banana and red bean ice cream. The atmosphere was nice a well. Highly recommend it.

My favorite restaurant in Jax. Period! The food is always phenomenal. I love all of their rolls, especially the spicy salmon roll (and I always add avocado). Also, the red curry is yummy, and loaded up with tons of veggies. The vegetable tempura is to die for too!

We went with friend to Kamiya on a Saturday night. It was fairly busy. The restaurant inside is beautiful, if you can get past that ridiculously gaudy scrolling LED sign at the entrance. I was totally NOT impressed by the food I ate. My wife had the sushi, and she said she liked it. I had the chicken panang curry. It was a large portion... but there was NO flavor. It was the most tasteless bland Thai dish I have ever eaten. We also started with the pot stickers for an appetizer... and they were tepid at best. I will not be back.

The sushi is great! I love it! The management sucks though! We order on a weekly basis takeout and spend $60-100 every week and today spent $91 and asked for some shrimp sauce to go and the manager charged us $2! Really?! When we got home the 6 shrimp sauces we got were less than 1/2 way full! And, 3 of our rolls that the menu says has cream cheese in them did not have cream cheese. While waiting for our Togo order the restaurant was not very busy and we witnessed a family of 3 asking for one of the cool booths and they didn't want to let them use the booth since there were only 3 of them... This place was dead! And the hostess didn't see anyone on the list for reservations. You would think they would treat the guests they do have extra special so they can retain the clientele they have.

Underwhelming. I ordered the drunken noodles and the Tom Yum soup(chicken) *Tom Yum- decent broth, not much substance ( vegetables/protein etc) Drunken noodles - Heavy sauce with not much flavor or spice (ordered level 8 out of 10) Service was below average Would not return *ordered the lunch noodles that comes with a soup, not the Tom Yum. Had to pay full price for the Tom Yum with no discount or offer of the included soup.

The service was very good the sushi that they have is probably right now the best deal at the beach we got the love boat for two it is plenty for a full meal and even was able to take some home for lunch the next day Everyone in the entire place is happy to see you from the moment you walk in there is great teamwork amongst the waitstaff

Oh my gosh, I had read reviews of Kamiya and thought, I need to try it, but I was not prepared for how nice the interior was furnished. There were private tables along the wall which create a nice intimate date, back lit bar top and overall more of a feeling of South Beach than Jacksonville Beach. My daughter was really impressed that good ol Dad found this place. When I look at reviews, I want to know what is good so here is what we ordered Oshinko Roll I rarely see these on a sushi menu, so I was pleased. Angel Hair Roll Fabulous, I could make a meal out of two of these. Sweet Potato Roll What can I say, I am southern and love sweet potatoes Pad Thai Meh, okay but they warn you in the menu it is their "version" Overall a wonderful experience and well worth the visit.

  • Misty S.

I absolutely LOVE their sushi, it's fresh and delicious. My problem is more with service and deception in charging. My husband and I go there a lot, but have gone much less recently...due to how they trick you when you're charged. First time was happy hour and the bartender said she couldn't put in our happy hour pricing because it was right after 6pm and the computer wouldn't let her. I looked at our bill and it was charged at 5:47pm. Lame. Second time, we went and the waitress didn't tell us that not ALL of the sushi rolls were on special, only some of them. It doesn't state that anywhere on the menu. She just said "owell, I guess I can charge the waitress if you don't want to pay that price and it can come out of her tips" Are you kidding me? Then she charged me wrong on the actual sushi that WAS on happy hour, charged full price. When I told her that....she just said "well, let me see if we can change the price on that". Ummm...it's happy hour pricing you WILL change the price on that. Most people may not notice these things, but this is part of why we go out and look for places that have great specials and great food. It takes forever for the food to come out and it's rarely busy, so you would think they would try and keep loyal customers like us. It's a shame.

  • Andrew M.

This place was amazing the roll came out fast and was delicious. Couldn't say a bad thing about it. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because the wait was long. Which could only attest to how delicious it was

  • Karin B.

From the outside, the place isn't much to look at but once you step inside it's a whole different world. The service is great, and the food is wonderful, if a little on the pricey side. We usually order several rolls to share and are never disappointed with the presentation, it's fabulous. This isn't our go-to sushi place, but it is a very close second.

Our night at Kamiya 86 came thanks to a power outage at home. And it wasn't just my street. It seemed to be most of Ponte Vedra. What does one do when this happens? Drive to Jax Beach! Jacksonville Beach was awake and kicking at 915 on this Friday night as we went on the hunt for our next meal. We had several places on our list just in case the first couple were too busy. Thankfully - being our first stop - Kamiya was busy, but we still got seated right away. As we waited for our Sapporos to arrive, I got to take a look around the place. First off, the neon & loud music and bamboo and basically the whole decor made me imagine what a touristy restaurant in Japan would look like. I loved it! Didn't look anything like Thai Room (previous incarnation). Much brighter and somehow seemed bigger even though they had divided off some sections of the restaurant. As I perused the menu, I was a little taken aback by the prices of some of the rolls. My money saving nerves were taking over and I didn't know if we had made the best decision after all. Then the strangest thing happened. My husband suggested the Sushi Boat for two. What? You want to order what? You're not going to order Katsu or something else? You WANT to share an extra large order of sushi? You WANT to give this place a fair shake after all? COUNT ME IN! The sushi boat comes with a California roll and a Shrimp Tempura roll. Shrimp Tempura roll has been my favorite roll since I started eating sushi and it's usually one of two rolls that I order the first time I go to any new place. But the California roll is like a side of refried beans at a Mexican restaurant. Tried & true albeit a little boring. The Yummy roll (which is a roll I had debated ordering) comes on the next level (The Love Boat for two), so after asking the waitress we were able to substitute one for the other. When our boat finally docked at our table, the waitress explained each 'passenger' aboard. There were two pieces of each Nigiri passenger. I took a shrimp, an eel, and a tuna for myself. My husband got a piece of each roll and then we went about our merry way devouring our normal preferences: me the rolls, him the Nigiri. The Shrimp Tempura roll was excellent. Shrimp was fresh & every bite satisfied. The Yummy roll. Not really much I can say about it but YUMMY! Shrimp Tempura, avocado, wrapped with Spicy Tuna, eel sauce and tempura crunchies on top. Basically all my favorite things in one roll. Speaking of Mexican restaurants, one dish kept being walked by our table. We think we determined it to be the Sizzling Mongolian Beef. Like a plate of sizzling fajitas that walks by your table when dining a la Mexican, this dish piques your interest and gets you excited about your forthcoming entrees. Something magical happened as my husband tried one piece of Nigiri after another: he went to his sushi happy place. To see him get excited about sushi was something I've been trying to do since he moved here almost four years ago. I FINALLY found a sushi place my husband actually WANTS to go back to!! For a girl that loves sushi, this has been a long and arduous adventure. While going out for sushi is always a fun adventure for me, it was so disheartening for me to not be able to find a place that he was dying to dine at again.

I enjoyed my sushi dinner here very much. It is a wonderful, trendy space to dine in as well. The love roll is excellent as well as their sashimi. Our waitress was very sweet. I would return!

Finally, a trendy sushi spot in Jax beach! I was kind of skeptical at first because of their blacked out windows, it always appears to be closed. I opened the door, peaked my little head in and noticed they were in fact open. I was greeted by a friendly lady who walked me to my table for 1. Upon walking in, I instantly felt like I was at some upscale sushi spot in Manhattan and I instantly felt like a badass. Their full bar is back light with neon green lighting, the tables are against wall with neon blue up lighting and the sushi bar is backlit with a neon orange and red lighting. As if the décor wasn't stunning enough, my sushi roll came out and blew me away! All I ordered was 1 "Yummy Roll" and it was presented to me like I was the freakin' queen of all things sushi! It wasn't overstuffed with rice, or skimping of any fish at all. Please check out my photos and next time you're in need of a trendy sushi place near you in Jax Beach then check out Kamiya 86.

I guess everyone giving this place 5 stars has never had good sushi/Japanese or anything Pan Asian. Take advice from an Asian, this place is horrible. Overpriced, gaudy, loud, neon lights that burned my retinas, and the food was subpar. Bland flavors, not crispy wontons, sushi was a disgrace. When we ordered a sushi special that had a wasabi sauce on it but had no mention of wasabi on the menu description, it was a little hard to get it off our tab or swap it out. Awkward customer service. Not to mention the bathroom didn't have soap, just foaming hand sanitizer (not the same!). Never going back.

  • Shelley M.

I loved this place, and the number one reason was atmosphere. Who would have guessed that a strip mall location could have such great atmosphere inside? The food was good as well. I had the mongolian beef, which was rich and meaty with plenty of delicious sauce to mop up with white rice. My husband chose the nine piece chef selection of sushi. It had great presentation and flavor, although he would have preferred more variety. He could have opted to choose his own, but deferred. I think he'll chose next time. I want to go back with a group of friends and reserve one of the cool enclosed booths!

I am not quite a fan, but feel Kamiya 86 is a solid "A-OK" for me. We went on a week night and the restaurant was not too crowded, just the way I like it. We were seated promptly and the service was certainly friendly. The vibe and decor is nice. My husband and I looked over the menu and to be honest, I've always been a bit of a skeptic on Asian restaurants doing more than one cuisine (i.e. Japanese and Thai, etc). To me, it is difficult enough to do a cuisine right lol. At any rate, we opted for sushi and then decided to get the Love Boat for 2 for $40. I think the portion and the amount of fish given on the chef's choice dish was good for the price. However, nothing really jumped out as "ohhh that taste good" to me. I was not a fan of the sushi rice used (a bit hard for me). But overall, the atmosphere, the service, the price, is a solid "A-OK" for me.

Okay..I've eaten a lot of sushi in my day...and I have to say they do have a great selection and the fact that they add fruit to some of there rolls is even better, I love it when you add fruit it just compliments the flavors so well ya know. There fusion as you've read and suprisingly you can get very good thai food on top of everything else which makes it a win in my book, that is too hard to find these days. I got the Thom khah and it was excellent although hands down the squid salad was the best thing I had all night..all in all highly recommend..plus your across the street from the atlantic..come on peeps the Atlantic :-)..

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the sushi was creative and delicious! The place seamed to be a little classic with a techno L.E.D. vibe.... Food was great and the place felt alive even though it wasn't that busy..... I feel like the store front was a little dark and with the right curbside decor the place could be even better... I definitely recommend it!

Best sushi experience in jax beach hands down. Note that I didn't say sushi..but sushi experience. I get the lava or rock roll- best on the menu. full bar which is cool whilst waiting for my togo order- they have 2 for 8$ lunch special which is perfect for a quick pickup.

The restaurant looks really great inside but if you are driving around and pass by this place, you will not pick this restaurant :) Love the overall vibe, lived in Japan for 3 years and this place really brought back great memories :) BUT the food wasn't all that great :( Im very disappointed coz the presentation was awesome, we ordered pad Thai, pineapple fried rice, red curry, and dynamite roll... But It was just bland :( no taste to it whatsoever :( and it took forever for us to get out drinks, our food.. I don't think I will ever come back.

Had high hopes for this restaurant and to be clear the food was good (above average). The problem is with our waitress and the manager. We ordered soup plus 3 rolls of sushi for two of and also wanted to try the teriyaki chicken on top of our meals. The goal was to try it and possibly come back another time for that as a meal. For this reason, we asked for an order of the children's teriyaki chicken. Our waitress asked the manager and she said we couldn't do that. We replied that this was on top of our meals... (I would completely understand if this was designed to be the basis of our meal). We were given a lame response of how the chicken is cut (really?) and told we could take the extra chicken home if we ordered the full meal. I asked if there was a child with us could we order and she said yes... I even asked if she would "please" make an exception. No! We ate the food presented us and it was good. The Tom Ka soup only had two shrimp in it so the value wasn't very good but the rolls were tasty and well made. In total our bill was $23 and I would like to point out that it would have been over $40 if we could order the child's teriyaki chicken and another roll I was considering. It's amazing to me a business would leave money on the table. Crazy! When our waitress Coco saw that we were disappointed with the exchange she became less than helpful. Overall, a poor experience with above average food!

Not your typical strip mall storefront. The menu is diverse and original, the prices are reasonable, the service is prompt and efficient. Clean, fresh and very metropolitan dining experience. The restaurant build out is NOT front to back as most strip mall places are; it's north south so no tables face the parking lot, which gives it a nice feel. There is a large bar area up front, a sushi bar towards the back, and several small private-ish dining "rooms" along one side. These have sunken dining tables so you sit lower without having to squat on a pillow. Nice for parties of 6-8 people.

Excellent presentation. Good taste. Peaceful crowd. HUGE variety. - makes it difficult.. Definitely a place with charm to become a favorite for some people. I just hate the fact that I can't really see much at the sushi bar - view is blocked

We found this via Yelp and were blown away. Great modern decor, excellent service, and excellent sushi presented in such a wonderful way. We were just in town for the weekend, and so wish this restaurant was in Orlando because we would definitely be regulars. As others mentioned, the Love roll is amazing. You will love this place!!

The beaches area was in desperate need of a decent sushi restaurant, and Kamiya 86 didn't disappoint in that respect. Our table had many different rolls and specialty rolls from the menu, and all were quite good. Generous portions of fresh, quality fish, not overstuffed with rice. The thai ginger chicken dish was good, but I'd recommend ordering it at an actual thai restaurant instead and sticking to the sushi. The only let-down was the appetizers. The spring rolls and summer rolls were packed with lettuce and very little meat. They also were poorly put together--fell apart when we picked them up. Despite that, we really enjoyed the meal and will certainly be back!

When we walked in the door the hostess don't even look at us. She slightly gestured for us to follow, walked far ahead of us and once we got half way across the restaurant she was no where to be seen. I almost turned around and walked out...But thank goodness I didn't!! We would of missed out on such a great find!! Delicious food, beautiful presentation, great service and fun atmosphere! Jing was our server and every suggestion she made was spot on. Started with Tom Kai soup, it had fresh tomatoes in it which was a first for me, but VERY good. Seaweed salad came next, just right. Fantasy roll, green Dragon roll, salmon skin hand roll w/dynamite excellent! But my personal fave (on Jing 's suggestion) Spark of Love roll. The presentation was beautiful. My husband had Pad Thai, he said it was amazing (second only to his fave spot in Los Angeles). Lastly we had a birthday in our party and Jing brought out a complementary dessert of red bean ice cream with fried bananas. The perfect end to an amazing meal. When we arrived the restaurant was full and loud, but quieted down about half way through our meal. Highly recommend.

This place was wonderful! I have been craving sushi for a long time and after passing by this place numerous times I decided to try it. The sushi was phenomenal . The way the place was decorated was very nice. The only negative I can give it is that it took them about 10 minutes to take our drink order. But once the hostess saw we were sitting there for a while she made sure we were taken care of. All in all the best sushi I have had at the beaches!

My boyfriend and I typically frequent Tama's in Atlantic Beach for our sushi dates. But after our visit to Kamiya 86, that will change. This place is great! The staff was friendly. The decor is cool. We like to sit at the sushi bar. I had a mango basil tini. It was delicious and served in an interesting glass. We tried the Kamiya roll and the yummy roll. Both were delicious! We were very impressed. For two rolls, a liquor drink, and beer it was around $40. For the quality of seafood, the price is definitely worth it! We will be back!

We got there early because I have two young children who start to lose it as it gets closer to bedtime. Since we were the only ones there (it was literally 4:45 when we walked in) the hostess occupied my 2 year old while I looked at the menu. He loved all of the colored lights everywhere. While there is no kids menu, the chicken fried rice was just fine for him. The rolls I got were fresh, tasty, and well presented. Overall good experience and I'll be back!

I can only say one thing, W.O.W (and I don't mean World of Warcraft)! The ambiance is spot-on, the service is impeccable, the actual sushi one the best I had, and reasonable prices. Even the restrooms were spotless. If I lived here this would've been my favorite sushi place. I'm very happy I picked this place over steak for tonight's dinner.

I just ate there last Friday night with a friend and it was amazing! Delicious sushi and Thai food. The drinks were really good too. My friend had the drunken noodles with shrimp and I had the red curry with shrimp - both spice level 5 out of 10 which was the perfect medium-spicy. We had the tiger's eye roll, which was beyond yummy. The decor was really hip & swanky and they had the tables on the side where you sit on the floor & take your shoes off.

I felt as if I was walking into a piece of art. This place is not only trendy, it's art from the floor to the ceiling. By art, I don't mean paintings - I mean this entire place is a piece of art in itself. The food is also their canvas. I had the Sun Fire Sushi and it was one of the most remarkable dishes I've ever seen or eaten. The deserts are delicious and each one has its own unique presentation that makes it almost a sin to eat - but after the first bite - nothing else matters! The service was perfect. Zoe made sure that I was taken care of - all the while she wore a huge smile and had such a wonderful attitude. Given her level of attentiveness and enthusiasm, I thought she was the owner, not the cashier!

I do not care for this restaurant the food is very expensive and the quality does not command the price of the food is there a restaurant does have a very nice ambience however it seems as though the ambience of the restaurant greatly outweighs the food

The food was not only delicious but beautiful. We sat at the sushi bar, best seats in the house, and watched beautiful sculptures being taken away to unsuspecting customers. Lots of oohs and ahhs. Zoe, the gracious hostess, and I hugged on the way out. What could be better!?!?!

Really amazing place. It's like a hidden gem and when you step inside the ambiance is fantastic. The staff is super nice and helpful and I cannot say enough about how good their rolls are. I had the crazy dynamite. Mango tango, spicy crab and Philadelphia roll. All of them were soooooo delicious and I was truly impressed. Their special rolls are a little pricey but worth it. Definitely check this place out. Also would be a great place to have drinks, their bar is really nice

Just moved here from Los Angeles with my wife, obviously, we know sushi because LA has some of the best. This place was awesome. Super fresh seafood and super friendly staff. Looks like a cool trendy place in LA. Good drinks. The Kamiya Roll was awesome! Love everything we got. This is our new sushi place! We will back for sure!!!

Hadn't intended to get sushi for the night but stopped in here after seeing how close they were to home coupled with the high Yelp rating. It didn't disappoint. Like other reviewers, I was most impressed by the freshness of the fish. The trendy ambiance and reasonable prices were awesome too, as was our young server Alyssa (sp). My Pepsi (normally, I'm a Coke drinker, the only downside) was very carbonated, as it should be. The salad and Miso soup were both very good. We ordered a sushi boat for two and it had a nice blend of sashimi, nigiri and rolls. Ours consisted of tuna, both red and white, yellow tail, salmon and something else which I forgot. There were five, this I remember. All five were outstanding, including the rolls which were balanced nicely and not overpowered with some foreign sauce or too much raw ingredient. I'll eat here again soon. Unless I'm a bonehead, I'm not seeing where I can add my own photo. We have an excellent photo of our sushi ship.

I've been here a few times now and have enjoyed the Lava roll thoroughly. The atmosphere is great and the appetizers are wonderful. Unfortunately tonight, I found a piece of plastic in my sushi. The manager said jokingly, "well at least it isn't glass, but I'll give you 15% off." Really? All in all, I will still be back, but that was just crazy way to treat a repeat customer.
